We’re connecting the dots: As a collective of creative entrepreneurs, designers, artists, musicians, investors and local businesses we work together with property developers, family offices, architects and investors to reimagine, regenerate and revolutionise career pathways for the next generation.
The Lab W1 is all about cross-sector collaboration. Working with the Mayor of London’s Culture Team, Creative Enterprise Zones, Crafts Council, British Fashion Council, Creative UK, Raindance, Vivobarefoot, Century Club, University Arts London, University of Westminster, Futurecity, Westminster City Council and other local partners, we are the incubator for brokering and facilitating and delivering solutions, supporting local job creation and talent retention for the UK’s creative industries and cultural innovation in the West End.
Our Approach
“Regenerative By Design”
“Regenerative By Design” is a placeshaping methodology developed by Yasmin Jones-Henry, and applied across a portfolio of Masterplan and cultural programme projects ranging from East Bank, London’s South Bank, the West End to Ladbroke Grove.
It is built on the THREE pillars of: Circular Economy principles, Climate Action (through community education) and applied Regenerative Design. We elevate, amplify and provide clarity and precision for the innovators delivering across these three pillars.
Our ethos and remit extends from ideation to activation, working with both founders, delivery teams and grassroots cultural organisations to ensure local and global stakeholders are able to generate the maximum commercial and social value from ongoing urban regeneration projects.
We believe that Co-Design is the key to success, so we listen, identify and collaborate with those who have the expertise and lived experience, providing a platform for local pioneers and entrepreneurs to showcase and embed their solutions at scale.
